Waterloo Place, After the Rain. Part of my City Reflections series, this piece captures that fleeting moment when the sun emerges after a rain shower and, for a short while, the pavement becomes a mirror.
Alongside my ongoing fascination with trees, it is light — and those brief, unexpected moments of beauty — that continually draw me in. When the ground turns reflective, the city softens. Light is diffused, colours deepen, and the everyday transforms into something almost cinematic.
It’s these transient moments that always capture my imagination.
