City of Gold, Westminster Palace

City of Gold is part of my ‘Icons’ and ‘City Reflects’ series, oil on board, using gold leaf. The detail is applied onto an abstract and or textured ground. The tricky part is making the marks work, adapting the colours and shading to the abstract ground.
