Scotch Pines in Dappled Light captures the quiet, immersive atmosphere of a woodland interior, where light filters gently through dense foliage. Sunlight breaks through the canopy in fragments, illuminating the forest floor in soft, shifting patches of gold and green.
Built through layered oil paint, the surface reflects the movement of light as it changes throughout the day. The interplay between shadow and illumination creates depth and rhythm, drawing the viewer into the space.
This work continues my exploration of woodland landscapes, focusing on the calming, restorative qualities of nature and those fleeting moments when light transforms the familiar into something quietly extraordinary.
