On Golden Pond, left – Part of a diptych.
On Golden Pond brings together processes from my Forest of Light series with the layered media and abstract textures of my City Reflections works.
The piece explores the meeting point between natural stillness and surface movement — where light dances across water and reflections dissolve into abstraction. Layers of paint and metallic elements are built into the surface, allowing the work to shift subtly as the light changes.
Balancing representation and abstraction, it invites a slower gaze — to look, pause, and discover what emerges within the layers.
