Forest of Light I is inspired by the shifting, diffused light within a pine forest. Overhead, sunlight filters through dense foliage, creating a soft, dappled glow. Looking outward, light breaks through the trees, illuminating the forest edge in quiet contrast.
Layers of paint and silver leaf are built into the surface to evoke this subtle interplay of shadow and light — capturing that contemplative stillness found deep within the woods.
