Autumn Reflections is an expansion of my Golden Hour Series, introducing the added element of water and reflection. I’m often drawn to the reflected image — where ripples and gentle distortions soften form and create a more fluid, dreamlike view of the landscape.

The work is rooted in the golden hour, that magical moment as the sun lowers on the horizon. Colours intensify, contrasts deepen, and details become both sharper and softer at once, as though the scene is quietly infused with a warm, glowing light. Gold leaf is woven through the painted layers to enhance this luminosity, allowing the surface to shift subtly as the light changes.
